“If the total energy of the universe must always remain zero, and it costs energy to create a body, how can a whole universe be created from nothing? That is why there must be a law like gravity. Because gravity is attractive, gravitational energy is negative: One has to do work to separate a gravitationally bound system, such as the earth and moon. This negative energy can balance the positive energy needed to create matter, but it’s not quite that simple. The negative gravitational energy of the earth, for example, is less than a billionth of the positive energy of the matter particles the earth is made of. A body such as a star will have more negative gravitational energy, and the smaller it is (the closer the different parts of it are to each other), the greater this negative gravitational energy will be. But before it can become greater than the positive energy of the matter, the star will collapse to a black hole, and black holes have positive energy. That’s why empty space is stable. Bodies such as stars or black holes cannot just appear out of nothing. But a whole universe can.
Because gravity shapes space and time, it allows space-time to be locally stable but globally unstable. On the scale of the entire universe, the positive energy of the matter can be balanced by the negative gravitational energy, and so there is no restriction on the creation of whole universes. Because there is a law like gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing in the manner described in Chapter 6. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist. It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going.”

McKinsey analysts report around EUR 53 billion (**) per year of potential energy savings in Germany as of year 2020. “Unlocking this kind of value in energy savings could provide a significant cost advantage for German companies competing globally. Add to this the strategic potential to profit from developing and selling new energy-efficient products and services”. McKinsey researches express hope that result of their study, would “further enrich the debates and give the policy makers and business executives the added confidence and courage needed to take bold steps to formulate constructive ways to unlock potential of energy efficiency.”
Surprise vs. Suspense! “Strategic, Tactical, and Operational behavior of younger, highly educated managers vs. ‘we always did this way’ cultural manners of seasoned professionals, especially among the family owned SMEs, should be addressed as much as new technologies” states Lars Imroth. The publicly available statistics of traditionally closed society as well as many media ‘make believe’ stories often omit human factor in many crucial decision making scenarios as well as miscalculations of predictable impact of change, of disruption, of timely design and agile implementation of strategy.

Visiting trade fairs and exhibitions in Germany and other European countries. After hundreds of meetings with potential clients we brought our vision to reality and we brought the standards in energy efficiency from the instructions of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy to real business,” adds Roland Zimmermann. “It is not common for a corporate culture in Germany to make, support, implement wrong ideas or ‘hype’ innovation. A suggestion for future clients and startups in the energy field: it is important to know what can be expected from the necessary changes in behavior to promote the dissemination of technologies and services. Additionally, technologies that limit the impact of inefficient behaviors should be strongly promoted. Please, do not expect any rapid changes and decisions of your future clients, business partners. There will be none. Regardless of the fact that improvements in energy efficiency brings significant benefits not only to a few outliers in business, industries. The entire society benefits. These improvements are often held back by market, financial and institutional barriers. Analyze situations carefully and fully before making decisions. Consult all appropriate people to get their help in reaching the right decisions. Professionalism, persistence and determination plus the life time commitment is what makes German way of doing business a success.
On Monday, March 07th, a meeting with our business partner from Luxembourg- Didier Monestes, directed my thoughts towards the energy efficiency in Data Centers of corporations as well as privately owned smaller Data Centers. Didier Monestes leads an international consulting company based in Luxembourg and specialises in Data Centers. Didier is proud to be one of the endorsers for European Commission and he supports their Code of Conduct to improve energy efficiency of Data Centers. Didier represents Luxembourg National Normalisation Comity in ISO and Cenelec workgroups dedicated to energy efficiency in Data Centers.
How the professionals work to assure that the energy efficiency adds to the highest standards of physical and cyber security, other vital factors to operate sustainable business? Or is ‘The House of Cards’ of 21st Century called “Industry 4.0 made in Germany” being so successfully created? Questions to experts. Would they recognize energy efficiency as an important energy resource that can help meet future energy needs, while the nation concurrently develops new no-and low-carbon energy sources?
The C3CONSULT Effizienz-Agentur Imroth & Zimmermann “…would appreciate to discuss possibilities to save energy consumption in Data Centers because of some already finished projects in this business area. We do have references like HEWLETT PACKARD (Germany) in optimization of the lighting equipment, like LEIBNIZ Rechenzentrum in Munich (cooling equipment for one of the biggest Main Frames here in Europe, developed with IBM Zurich and LENOVO Germany) and one of the biggest Data Centers in Europe at all – the one of facebook in Scandinavia (demand controlled lighting equipment, saving more than 80% of costs of lighting the huge area). In addition there is an older reference right here in Berlin at the CHARITÉE.”
*The World Energy Council’s “World Energy Perspective. Energy Efficiency Policies” report brings to attention that: “While the issues of energy and sustainability matter around the globe, it is especially relevant for Germany. Energy influences competitive advantage in roughly 44 percent of the German economy. This share is significantly higher than for all other Western industrialized countries. In looking closely at Germany the implications and dynamics become very clear; extrapolated, the implications apply globally, as well.”
Many initiatives, policies, even laws, when successful in Germany are being recommended to debate, adapt and implement in other European countries, the European Union members. ..

“As electrical energy can create mechanical vibrations (perceived as sound by the human ear), so in turn can mechanical vibrations create electrical energy, such as the previously mentioned ball lightning. It could be theorized, therefore, that with the Earth being a source for mechanical vibration, or sound, and the vibrations being of a usable amplitude and frequency, then the Earth's vibrations could be a source of energy that we could tap into. Moreover, if we were to discover that a structure with a certain shape, such as a pyramid, was able to effectively act as a resonator for the vibrations coming from within the Earth, then we would have a reliable and inexpensive source of energy.”
― Christopher Dunn, The Giza Power Plant: Technologies of Ancient Egypt
― Christopher Dunn, The Giza Power Plant: Technologies of Ancient Egypt

“In order to draw mechanical vibrations and relieve the stresses that build up within the Earth, we would need an object that would respond sympathetically with the Earth's fundamental frequency. This object would need to be designed in such a way that its own resonant frequency was the same as, or a harmonic of, the Earth's. In this manner, energy transfer from the source would be at maximum load. In harmony with the Earth's vibrations, this object would have the potential to become a coupled oscillator. (A coupled oscillator is an object that is in harmonic resonance with another, usually larger, vibrating object. When set into motion, the coupled oscillator will draw energy from the source and vibrate in sympathy as long as the source continues to vibrate.)
Because the Earth constantly generates a broad spectrum of vibration, we could utilize vibration as a source of energy if we developed suitable technology. Naturally, any device that attracted greater amounts of this energy than is normally being radiated from the Earth would greatly improve the efficiency of the equipment. Because energy will inherently follow the path of least resistance, it follows that any device offering less resistance to this energy than the surrounding medium through which it passes would have a greater amount of energy channeled through it. Keeping all of this in mind and knowing that the Great Pyramid is a mathematical integer of the Earth, it may not be so outlandish to propose that the pyramid is capable of vibrating at a harmonic frequency of the Earth's fundamental frequency.”

“Here is the product of an ancient civilization empowered with the knowledge that as long as the moon continued to orbit the Earth, the special relationship that existed between the two assured the Egyptians of vast amounts of energy. The source of the energy is the Earth itself, in the form of seismic energy. The ancient Egyptians saw tremendous value in this form of energy and expended a considerable amount of effort to tap into it. The benefits they received may have been twofold: energy to fuel their civilization, and the ability to stabilize the Earth's crust by drawing off seismic energy over a period of time rather than allowing it to build up to destructive levels.”

“While infrasonic vibrations at around 6 hertz may influence the brain and produce various effects in humans, it seems that there must be other types of energy, or other frequencies, to explain phenomena that were noted to have occurred at the Great Pyramid more than one hundred years ago. Sir William Siemens, an Anglo-German engineer, metallurgist, and inventor, experienced a strange energy phenomenon at the Great Pyramid when an Arab guide called his attention to the fact that, while standing on the summit of the pyramid with hands outstretched, he could hear a sharp ringing noise. Raising his index finger, Siemens felt a prickling sensation.
Later on, while drinking out of a wine bottle he had brought along, he experienced a slight electric shock. Feeling that some further observations were in order, Siemens then wrapped a moistened newspaper around the bottle, converting it into a Leyden jar. After he held it above his head for a while, this improvised Leyden jar became charged with electricity to such an extent that sparks began to fly. Reportedly, Siemens' Arab guides were not too happy with their tourist's experiment and accused him of practicing witchcraft. Peter Tompkins wrote, "One of the guides tried to seize Siemens' companion, but Siemens lowered the bottle towards him and gave the Arab such a jolt that he was knocked senseless to the ground. Recovering, the guide scrambled to his feet and took off down the Pyramid, crying loudly.”

“Energy is the basis of creating electricity that we can utilize, so how can we harness the power of an earthquake? Obviously, today, if that much energy were being drawn from the Earth through the Great Pyramid, tourists would not be parading through it every day. In order for the system to work, the pyramid would need to be mechanically coupled with the Earth and vibrating in sympathy with it. To do this, the system would need to be "primed"—we would need to initiate oscillation of the pyramid before we could tap into the Earth's oscillations. After the initial priming pulse, though, the pyramid would be coupled with the Earth and could draw off its energy. In effect, the Great Pyramid would feed into the Earth a little energy and receive an enormous amount out of it in return.
How do we cause a mass of stone that weighs 5,273,834 tons to oscillate? It would seem an impossible task. Yet there was a man in recent history who claimed he could do just that! Nikola Tesla, a physicist and inventor with more than six hundred patents to his credit—one of them being the AC generator—created a device he called an "earthquake machine." By applying vibration at the resonant frequency of a building, he claimed he could shake the building apart. In fact, it is reported that he had to turn his machine off before the building he was testing it in came down around him.
[...]
The New York World-Telegram reported Tesla's comments from a news briefing at the hotel New Yorker on July 11, 1935: 'I was experimenting with vibrations. I had one of my machines going and I wanted to see if I could get it in tune with the vibration of the building. I put it up notch after notch. There was a peculiar cracking sound. I asked my assistants where did the sound come from. They did not know. I put the machine up a few more notches. There was a louder cracking sound. I knew I was approaching the vibration of the steel building. I pushed the machine a little higher. Suddenly, all the heavy machinery in the place was flying around. I grabbed a hammer and broke the machine. The building would have been about our ears in another few minutes. Outside in the street there was pandemonium. The police and ambulances arrived. I told my assistants to say nothing. We told the police it must have been an earthquake. That's all they ever knew about it.”
